At the risk of upsetting most of my family and a couple of my friends I’m going to say it any way.

“yes we can!”

Obama’s victory felt like a breath of fresh air to me. As a country I think we made a costly mistake the last 8 years; one I feel we have started to correct. I could continue to talk about my partisian preferences but it is as important to be gracious in victory as defeat.

Let me instead simply say; I look to the future with renewed hope and expectations. God bless America!

This perfectly captured how I felt this morning … hopefully some good tea and some good progress at work will clear the cobwebs out by lunchtime.

I just finished a new powerpoint template for the investor relations area at work.  The previous one was u-g-l-y, of course it communicated well to the intended audience, there was no serious need for it to be beautiful.

That said, when they asked me to “freshen it up a bit” it gave me great satisfaction to make it not only more functional, but more pretty :-) It’s something that only another designer could understand how small changes mean so much. And the cherry on top?  The file is one quarter the size it used to be, I don’t know what the last designer did to it but mine is nice and small, YAY!

This weekend included more than just Halloween planning and general lounging around the house.  I also finally finished the videos of Lady from a couple of months back.  Enjoy!

Earthquake was kinda fun. We stayed at our desks, but some people freaked out.

Just got dine watching the last couple of episodes of the middle man. Truely a hidden gem.
